History of Cheaters who were banned from Esports

Updated: May 26, 2021

Cheating in online games has been a menace to the whole community for quite some time now. We all have experienced that one guy who is just running around the map hitting headshots without any effort, but what we will never understand is what pleasure people get out of it?

Cheating in online game is one thing, but cheating in an esports tournament is something that requires you to be a different breed of a cheater. A platform where literally millions of people are watching you is not a place where you want to label yourself as that person who needs help at winning. Unfortunately, the world has had its fair share of people who were caught cheating in esports and were banned due to their dishonorable actions. Forsaken

As Forsaken was making a name for himself in the CS:GO scene, and was signed by OpTic India. At eXTREMESLAND Zowie 2018, Forsaken was nailing, tracking headshots, and making spray transfers that almost seemed impossible. The admins of the game took notice of that and decided to investigate. Forsaken was not only cheating but was stupid enough to have the cheat file on his computer called “word.exe.”

Atuunn

Cheating at MOBAs can be quite hard, but Atuunn from Thunder Predator somehow managed to do it. One of the ways to cheat at DOTA 2 is to use mouse macros that allow you to use all your spells at a speed that is humanly unachievable. In this particular case, he used multiple Meepo’s and transported them with the spell at the exact same time without having delay in any of their casts. After an uproar from the community, the matter was investigated, and Thunder Predator was disqualified from the tournament.

Shaiiko

To this day, the fact that Shaiiko cheated or not is unanswered, but he did receive a two-year ban. Shaiiko was an upcoming legendary player in Rainbow Six Siege. During a match against Penta, siege superstar Pengu noticed that Shaiiko’s shots were suspicious and called for further action. In the investigation, it was discovered that Shaiiko’s “4” key was pressed at an inhuman rate. Due to this, he received a ban for two years, but the ban was lifted early. After the life, Shaiiko and Pengu faced off once again, where Shaiiko absolutely destroyed Pengu’s team. That is some grade-A redemption right there.

Jarvis

Jarvis is someone who, according to the online community, got everything he deserved. Part of the Faze clan, Jarvis was one of the top streamers in Fortnite. One day he decided that for the sake of content, he’ll try using the aimbot cheat in a Team Rumble match. The footage showed him clearly using the cheat and enjoying it as he did. As experimental as the usage of the cheat was, EPIC games does not at all tolerate cheaters, and for that, Jarvis received a lifetime ban from the game. The ban made the teen breakdown in front of the camera because he knew his gaming days were over.
